Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rankift website ("Rankift" or "Service"). By accessing or using Rankift, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. General Information

Rankift is a non-incorporated digital project managed by a group of individuals (the "Operators") based in Italy, reachable via email at team@rankift.com.

2. Description of Service

Rankift enables users to upload job descriptions and candidate CVs, generating an automated ranking based on perceived suitability between candidates and job descriptions provided.

3. Eligibility and User Responsibilities

You affirm you are at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into these Terms. You explicitly represent and warrant that all information and data you upload, including CVs, job descriptions, and any other documents, have been lawfully obtained and that you hold all necessary rights and permissions to upload and process such data.

4. User Conduct

You expressly agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully or unethically.
• Upload or share data without appropriate consent or legal basis.
• Interfere with the Service functionality or security.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or commercially exploit the Service.

Rankift reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately upon suspicion of any breach of these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights pertaining to Rankift, including but not limited to software, algorithms, design, graphics, and trademarks, remain the exclusive property of the Operators.

6. Data Ownership and Liability

You remain the sole owner of data you upload. However, you grant Rankift a limited license to process and analyze uploaded data solely to provide the Service. You accept full liability for any consequences arising from your use of third-party personal data.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties or representations regarding its accuracy, reliability, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Rankift expressly disclaims any and all liability for hiring decisions made using rankings provided by the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Rankift or its Operators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rankift and its Operators from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your handling of third-party data.

10. Amendments

Rankift reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. You will be notified of substantial changes via email or through the Service.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Italian law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.
